What are Gigabyte Motherboards Like?

Gigabyte mobos are cheap and commonly effective. I've have good luck using them contained by multiple builds and they do what they advertise which is to run your system lacking giving you a headache. You will miss out on overclocking potential but unless you are VERY sure of yourself that is something that is to say best to avoid. Here is a review of the S5 series of motherboard. http://www.motherboards.org/reviews/moth...
Read reviews on the motherboard, and also benchmark tests of the boards.

Gigabyte is one of the better motherboard manufacturer.

What you will probably notice is that within are subtle performance differences.
My personal experience be very virtuous. Mine came beside full 7.1 sound and video invasion built-in. I've since sold that computer so couldn't tell you what the model number be, but it came near a bunch of utilities, two in dedicated very adjectives; one to diagnose problems and one that constantly monitored the board (excess heat, etc)
Gigabyte motherboards are pretty reliable and stable. I enjoy one that is roughly speaking 6 year old that still works great.

Asus motherboards are pricey because they tend to be more loaded w/ features and they enjoy gained popularity among PC enthusiasts. They find Asus motherboards undemanding to tweak for awesome performance.
