I currently hold a 500W PSU. Will that run one 320MB 8800GTS? What about if I want to run 2 within SLI? What will I need for that?

500W is not pushing it. The recommended power supply for that card is 400W. And when the capitalist lists a recommended amount, they other leave extra cushion, so contained by reality it probably solely need 350W, hence 500W is plenty. Now as for SLI, next 500W would be getting a little iffy, you would probably want to hurdle up to 550 or 600 just to be undisruptive.
500 will be pushin it for one.at least 550,preferably 600. as for 2 you will involve 700w+ for it run well
