Few days ago, my hardisk was readable, but after i format and reinstall XP within my primary hardisk(60G), it showed that the 300G hardisk was unreadable, afterwards i tried in another notebook, everything went fine. I tried varying cables etc,but it still doesnt work.

Unable to complete format (hardisk)?
believe it or not it might be your bump - if you have more than one stick of strike pull one and try to format that channel - if you only enjoy one - try one from another computer, friends, etc.
I had impossible to tell apart problem when installing Windows XP, it wouldn't finish - thought is the CD-rom - thought it was the harddrive - turned out to be the push.
When Ram goes strange things arise, like your harddrive not man able to format.
Also, budge the website who is the manufacturer of your concrete drive and download their install program. ie. Western Digital is Lifeguard Tools Most manufacturers enjoy a problem for their hard drives for diagnostic purposes.
