Uninstall linux near out window disk! HELP?

I tried to dual boot linux (mandriva free 2007) but it didn't really work so I tried to uninstall it by going into Computer Management; and after into Storage or Hard Disk or w/e. Then I deleted adjectives of the partitions excluding the window one (windows XP). It didnt seem to work because I still didn't own the space that linux was taking up on my window partition and when I rebooted I still have to manually select windows. I dont enjoy the XP disk but I have a 'windows 2000 advanced server edition' if that help at all. PLEASE HELP! THANK YOU!

Uninstall linux near out window disk! HELP?

Linux uses ext2 or ext3 while Windows uses ntfs, fat32 or fat16. format the Linux dividing wall to raw or unallocated consequently merge with Windows screen (or resize Windows)
Thats because linux altered your master boot record to include the boot loader. To repair this boot to a window ME boot disk and at the A: type in this and press enter:

fdisk /mbr

This will repair your master boot history.
If your XP install was within first, boot to the XP cd and go to repair mode guide mode, whatever. Then from the black dos close to screen type ? or aid to see the options. What you want to look for is the fixmbr (sp) routine. To use it, type fixmbr /? to see the command structure, later type what is needed and do it. That will clear the linux stuff from the master boot record and it will only just default to the first bootable hedge which was the innovative XP installation.
