I want to give an account you about a chance Microsoft problem I have be having bad an on. You see sometimes my CD/DVD burning drive forgets how to burn DVDS. Infact when I put a blank DVD into it. It will open option for a blank CD instead. Now the drive can play and run DVDS and CDS. Sense I did not enjoy any blank CDS on me I do not know if it can burn CDS? But I tried 4 different burning software and all of them could not sense any Blank DVDS contained by the drive. In order to fix this problem I inevitability to reboot the PC with a blank DVD within the drive.
This problem has singular happened to me a few times. Twice on my elder PC its been a long time sense it final happened on my ripened PC , and once today on my new PC. I manage to fix it and burnt a DVD today I am not sure if its still fixed right very soon. My brother also had indistinguishable problem before after I fixed it for him and about 5 months subsequent his drive broke even worse and I cannot fix it. But that problem might not be related.

well, if u enjoy more than one burner only one of them can be actively set to journal within window ... check the drives' properties to enable tape ... the drive should automatically detect the type of disk tho and when u open the software to burn to a dvd it should detect if in that is enough space available on the disk formerly burning commences .. two things ... maybe look for a firmware update for ur burner and try another burning application ...

you know your drive can be going out it sose that some times it can work and not better to buy a hot one for $50
i have to replace mine every year
